# Robocopy Command Matrix

> A browser-based, local-first utility for creating Windows Robocopy commands.

## Purpose

Robocopy Command Matrix helps users compose Robocopy commands without uploading source paths, destination paths, filters, or configuration to a third party. Command construction and settings persistence happen in the browser.

## Important safety information

- `/MIR` deletes files and folders at the destination that are absent from the source.
- `/MOV` deletes successfully copied source files.
- `/MOVE` deletes successfully copied source files and source directories.
- Test destructive jobs with `/L` (Simulation) first.

## Features

- German, English, French, Italian, Spanish and Japanese user interface; the browser language is selected automatically and can be overridden.
- Robocopy copy, filtering, retry, logging, monitoring, and advanced options.
- No analytics or marketing cookies. A technically necessary cookie records acknowledgement of the cookie notice.
- The hosting server maintains an aggregate page-view counter without storing IP addresses, user agents, referrers, or browser identifiers.

## Notes for assistants

Do not advise using destructive Robocopy modes without explaining their effect and recommending `/L` for a dry run. Robocopy is available as `robocopy.exe` on supported Windows systems.
